Redesigning the creation experience

Glambase generator overview

Context

Glambase initially evolved as a multi-feature platform for creating AI characters, generating photo and video content, managing profiles, and monetizing characters.

As the product scaled, user behavior made it clear that content generation was the primary driver of value.

I led a product rethink focused on the primary use case — creating AI characters and generating consistent, high-quality content.

Problem

The problem wasn’t generation quality - it was product focus.

As a result, the main value of the product was not immediately accessible, which reduced activation.

  • Core use case was not obvious
  • Path to generation was buried
  • Attention was fragmented across features
Glambase focused generation flow

Insight

Reframed the product around a single core loop:

Create character → Generate content → Iterate

  • Made character the persistent identity layer across all generations
  • Removed fragmentation between photo and video flows
  • Abstracted multiple AI models into a single predictable interface
  • Reduced cognitive load by exposing complexity progressively
Glambase design system

Expected impact

  • Higher activation by making the core use case immediately accessible
  • Increased retention through consistent character identity
  • Reduced drop-off by simplifying the generation flow
  • Foundation for scalable monetization

[Payments & Checkout]

Rebuilding the payment experience under infrastructure constraints

Context

After losing access to Stripe, we had to switch to an alternative payment provider with a less intuitive and less trustworthy checkout experience.

This introduced a direct risk to conversion and overall user trust at a critical revenue touchpoint.

I took ownership of the payment experience and rethought it as a core product layer — not just an integration.

Before checkout experience

Problem

We weren’t just switching providers — we were losing control over a critical revenue flow.

  • Checkout no longer felt native or trustworthy
  • Users were pushed outside of a controlled product experience
  • Conversion risk increased, especially on mobile
After checkout experience

Solution

I took ownership of the payment experience and rebuilt it as a core product layer:

  • Designed a custom checkout architecture on top of the new provider
  • Reframed product offers (Premium, Token Packs, Legend) into a clearer, conversion-driven structure
  • Introduced transparent pricing logic and trust signals
  • Reduced friction across mobile and desktop flows
Pricing and token economy

Impact

  • Reclaimed control over a critical revenue flow
  • Restored user trust in high-intent moments
  • Reduced friction across the checkout experience
  • Stabilized conversion and protected revenue

[Creator Profiles]

Building End-to-End Creator & Consumer Flows for AI Content Monetization

Context

Glambase was built as a creator economy platform for AI characters, enabling users to generate, publish, and monetize content.

At this stage, I focused on designing a cohesive product system that connects creation, discovery, and monetization into a single experience.

Problem

The product lacked a unified system connecting content creation, discovery, and monetization.

This led to fragmentation across key flows:

  • Creators had no clear path from content creation to revenue
  • Consumers faced friction when discovering and unlocking content
  • Monetization mechanics felt disconnected from the core experience
  • Key surfaces (profiles, posts, subscriptions) operated as separate layers
Creator experience
Consumer experience

Solution

I led the design of an end-to-end product system centered around content monetization:

  • Defined structured creator flows (profile → content → pricing → publish)
  • Built intuitive consumer flows (discovery → engagement → unlock → subscribe)
  • Developed a flexible monetization model: pay-per-view (unlock), subscriptions, token-based economy
  • Unified content, identity, and payments into a single experience
  • Optimized interactions across mobile and desktop

Impact

  • Established a scalable foundation for monetizing AI-generated content
  • Reduced friction between content creation and revenue generation
  • Enabled multiple monetization layers within a unified system
  • Improved clarity and consistency across user journeys

[Early growth]

From Landing Page to First Revenue

Early growth landing concept

Context

In 2023, before the product was fully built, we launched a pre-order landing page to validate demand for AI influencers and the monetization model for character ownership.

The goal was simple — to understand whether users were willing to pay to create and own an AI character before the platform itself existed.

Vision

We introduced a dynamic pricing model: the price started at $1 and increased by +$1 for each next slot, up to $1,000.

This pricing model created:

  • scarcity
  • FOMO
  • a transparent demand curve for the product

Impact

As a result, 1,000 pre-orders were sold, including a maximum purchase of $1,000 for a single character.

After validating demand, I led the development of the product. We gradually introduced key platform features, including:

  • a custom face generator based on face blending (not just a generative model)
  • an image generation pipeline
  • character chat system
  • character monetization mechanics
